pre-literacy skills, pedagogical perspective on children’s language development
I am a psychology student, currently pursuing a master’s degree in Theoretical and Research Psychology at Charles University. At EAGLeLab, I am responsible for recruiting and coordinating participants and interns, and I manage the lab’s social media profiles.
I have long been involved in working with children, which is why I have focused on developmental and educational psychology since the beginning of my studies. My primary interest is psycholinguistics, specifically, I study the development of pre-literacy skills and the validity of teacher observation in assessing these skills in preschool children. As part of my research, I am currently working on developing a rating scale questionnaire that would allow preschool teachers to identify children at risk in literacy development. At the same time, I am participating in the validation of a screening tool that measures a child’s readiness for formal reading and writing instruction.
